We designed the netStats system from the ground up to be a simple and affordable way for companies to monitor their internet usage. Most similar packages are very expensive and can be very time consuming to setup. With netStats there is nothing for you to setup and no software to install. All you need is a web browser. netStats is also very scalable, capable of monitoring anything from a 64k ISDN line to T1 or greater speeds, using a supplied 'appliance' monitoring unit. What netStats Is Not... netStats is not a content filter or a firewall. netStats only reports on your network's activity and does not interfere with its functionality in any way. Other services exist for filtering web content. However, content filtering often blocks employees from accessing legitimate work related sites and is not always an appropriate solution. The netStats system works by allowing network managers to know what is happening on their network, so they can identify high load, unacceptable, or unauthorized usage. In hosted mode, a passive data acquisitioning device will be installed at your site, which monitors all of the network activity going through your internet connection, encrypts it, and relays it to the (offsite) host netStats servers for processing. Our web servers will compile all of the information they receive into simple easy to read charts and reports, accessible at anytime through our secure (SSL) web interface.
